Working scientifically
Our activities allow learning about Science through the use of first-hand practical experiences. They provide numerous opportunities to 'work scientifically', through scientific enquiry (identifying, classifying and grouping, fair testing, using scientific equipment, researching using provided materials).
We use discussing to promote the use of scientific vocabulary and being able to articulate scientific concepts clearly and precisely to address and misconceptions and secure their understanding of the science curriculum.

The following activities are half day options unless specified. Please choose two from science, geography or fun/cross-curricular activities for a full day's tuition.

We will share learning objectives with the group at the start of the activity. Learning will be assessed throughout the session using a range of strategies, including; different types of questioning, peer or self-assessment, discussions in groups or pairs and independent tasks. This will be used to review learning and identify areas for clarification or future learning.
